After a length national tendering process, Fat Frog were commissioned to build the website for the Seashell Trust, a Manchester based charity which runs a school for deaf children and young people aged 2-19.

Fat Frog's job was to build an accessible and informative site for the charity, forming an online presence for parents, staff and visitors. Fat Frog began working on the project at a pinnacle time when the name of the charity changed from Royal School of the Deaf and Communication Disorders to the Seashell Trust, therefore brand development was crucial. Dominic Tinner, the charity's Head of Fundraising and Marketing felt Fat Frog “raised significant value to the charity's profile at such an important time.”

In addition to providing information on the charity, the site also incorporates video, events and news as well as the facility to make donations.

Fat Frog won the award for “Freshest Not for Profit Website” at the Fresh Digital Awards for the site, beating off competition from high profile national charities.

“The Seashell Trust has developed a very good working relationship with Fat Frog. The company spent time getting to understand the work of our charity and our client group and this was reflected in the website which went on to win the 'Freshest Not-For-Profit' award at the 2008 Fresh Digital Awards and was very positively reviewed in Third Sector magazine. Fat Frog keep us posted about developments in new media and help us to incorporate these into our website. The website has helped to raise the profile of our charity considerably, especially important as we rebranded in 2008, and the feedback from visitors to the site is always very positive.”  Dominic Tinner, Head of Fundraising
